About Eatimate
Eatimate is a free nutrition calculator for build-your-own restaurant meals. Pick your ingredients the way you'd order at the counter — base, protein, toppings, sauces — and the totals add up live, with an FDA-style label you can share as a link or copy into trackers like Lose It!.
Who makes it
I'm Paul A. — a software engineer in Northern Virginia. I track my macros in Lose It!, and restaurant meals were always the hard part. Plenty of chains publish their nutrition, but not in a way you can easily add up: a build-your-own bowl meant scrolling a PDF, totalling it by hand, and usually settling for a guess.
So I built the tool I wanted: pick what you actually ordered, get the real total, and copy it straight into your tracker. Eatimate is an independent project, with no company behind it, no ads, and no one paying for placement.
Where the numbers come from
Every number traces to the restaurant's own published nutrition data — each calculator links its source document and the date we retrieved it. Values are stored exactly as printed, and a total is the exact sum of them: nothing is rounded to label increments, because doing so would change a correct number into a tidier wrong one. In the rare case a published document contradicts itself, the correction is recorded in the data with the printed value, the value used, and the reason.
Restaurants change recipes and rotate menus; treat totals as close approximations, and verify allergen or medical dietary decisions with the restaurant directly — allergens are deliberately out of scope here.
